Why Ornamental Birds?

From a successful banking career of over ten-year, Peter Musyoka Kinyua took an about turn and ventured into entrepreneurship. This was the birth of Vatikan Ornamental Birds, which is a thriving farm in Rukuriri, Embu County.


Starting with just one variety of birds, the farm now has over 342 birds of different varieties. These include Turkeys, Guinea fowls, Peafowls (peacock and peahen), Fantail Pigeons, Ring neck Pheasants, Kuchis, Egyptian geese, Vulturines, Bantam chickens, Exotic ducks (Cayuga, Indian Runners, Khaki Campbell, Welsh Harlequin, Indian Runner), Short beak pigeons, Frailback pigeons, Polish Bantams and many others.
